Last night we took a trip up the Indian River again, only this time we brought shrimp. The fish were feeding the same as the night before on mullet schools passing by. They wouldn't touch the shrimp, so we ended up getting some of the passing mullet and landed a nice snook. Where we were, the bite started to slow. We ended up losing one other snook at that spot. On our very last mullet before going to get more and changing locations, we hooked a nice 23 inch redfish, which we released for good carma. The Michael Sheilds Memorial Tournement is coming up this weekend so I need all the good jewjew I can get. We decided to post up on another nice set of lights after we loaded up on mullet again. The fish were again jumping out of the water swallowing mullet. We couldn't produce a strike until, at the end of the trip we hooked and landed a nice slot sized snook. The tide had been coming in all night and the water was really high. The wind was blowing out of the East this time at about 10-15 knots. I ended up letting all three dozen of our shrimp go at my seawall... Lucky prawns!
